Schenker takes over French Joyau Group

Through the acquisition of the French Joyau Group, Schenker aims to optimize its distribution operations in one of the industrial nations. (10/15/2002)
The takeover greatly strengthens Schenker’s own capacities in France and increases the size of the company’s French customer base many times over.
Schenker currently operates 35 logistics locations in France with around 900 employees and is one of the top five logistics service providers in the air, sea and European land freight transport segment. With around 2,500 employees at 53 locations in France, the Joyau Group (which was acquired with retroactive effect to January 1, 2002) is one of the country’s top ten network operators in the field of time-definite consolidated shipments
