Royal Mail increasing stamp prices

Royal Mail has announced that, from 29 March, the price of a First Class stamp will increase by 1p to 64p and the price of a Second Class stamp will increase by 1p to 55p. The price of a Large Letter First Class and Second Class stamps up to 100g will also rise by 1p.

Royal Mail said that the charges are “necessary to help ensure the sustainability of the Universal Postal Service”, adding that it had “carefully considered” the impact of any change on its customers and its own business “before deciding to apply the smallest possible increase in stamped letter prices”.
