UPS appoints new regional and business unit presidents

UPS has announced the appointment of Nando Cesarone as president for the UPS Europe Region, and Ross McCullough as president for the UPS Asia Pacific Region. “Nando and Ross have honed their leadership skills with a broad range of assignments around the world and I know they will make a significant impact as presidents of the Asia Pacific and Europe Regions,” said Jim Barber, president, UPS International. “Like many of our executives, both of them started their careers as a package loader and driver, respectively, exemplifying our focus on leadership development and succession planning.”

Cesarone, a 25-year UPS veteran, will be responsible for all UPS operations in 56 countries and territories and more than 45,000 employees. Europe is UPS’s largest non-U.S. region, contributing approximately half of the more than $2 billion in international package operating profit generated over 2015. Cesarone most recently served as the president for the UPS Asia Pacific Region.

Cesarone has held several key international management positions at UPS, including country manager for Austria, Hungary and Switzerland; vice president of Operations for UPS Canada; president for North-East Europe; and president, UPS Asia Pacific.

He succeeds Cindy Miller, who will be returning to the United States as president of UPS Global Freight Forwarding. Miller has held several key executive positions at UPS, such as president of UPS South Europe and Africa, as well as similar roles in the US. Prior to her role as Europe Region president, Miller served as president for UPS UK, Ireland, and Nordics.

McCullough – the new president for the UPS Asia Pacific Region – joined the firm in 1984, and most recently served as vice president for Corporate Strategy.  As president for the UPS Asia Pacific Region, McCullough will be leading one of the fastest growing regions of the world, with responsibility for more than 40 countries and territories throughout Asia.
