Amtrak same-day on web

Amtrak Express Parcels has strengthened its presence in the same-day market with the launch of a new web-based courier service.
Daytrak operates through a single, internet-linked cal centre which allows single-point booking, automated job allocation and electronic delivery confirmation across Amtraks nationwide network.
Describing Daytrak as a ‘one-stop‘ service, Amtrak claims that it is the UKs first fully fledged e-commerce service for local couriers.
Amtrak managing director Jonathan Smith says: ‘Daytrak puts Amtrak at the firefront of the rapidly growing same-day market‘. Amtrak has 100 franchised depots nationwide with a ssortation hub in Aldridge, West Midlands and distribution centres in Dunstable and Rawtenstall.
