Business Post re-organises

Business Post has been busy recewntly. This leading express carrier has re-organised itself into six distinct business units: these go under the titles of Express, HomeServe, International, UK Pallets, UK Today and UK Mail. The last of these is the part othat has ben granted a licence by Postcomm to operate mail services in competition with Royal Mail.
The company has recently won a contract to act as sole carrier for computer products re-seller Systemax Europe. The account, with an estimated value of more than £3.5m, will be handled by Business Posts Glasgow depot.
Hand in hand with this accouncement the group has invested £1.3m in a fleet of 23 new moving-floor double-decker articulated lorries. These will be employed on designated line-haul routes and will be located nationwide at Business Post corporate and franchise sites.
Each vehicle has been built to the companys specification, holding 38 cages and housing a comprehensive electronics package to ensure reliability in the moving deck.
Not to be left out, the UK Today arm has been launched as a new 24 hour courier service to businesses in Wales and the South West and offers three packages, known as the Premium, Flexible, and Tailored Logistical Solutions. Says Managing Director, Martyn Wilson: We forsee UK Today as becoming an indispensable tool for many local businesses.
