Peter Kjaer Jensen succeeds Henning Christensen as CEO of PostNord Denmark

Henning Christensen has resigned as CEO of PostNord Denmark. He will be succeeded by Peter Kjaer Jensen, who is currently Head of business area Logistics at PostNord. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (2 June), PostNord added that Christensen “has declined discussions regarding taking on other tasks in the group”.

Commenting on the announcement, PostNord President and Group CEO Håkan Ericsson, said: “Henning Christensen has done a very good job in getting political acceptance of the necessary regulatory changes now taking place. He has also led the challenging and comprehensive change of our Danish operations with great commitment.

“PostNord Denmark now needs both a continued focus on a quick cost adjustment to the lower mail volumes and to expand the logistics operations which requires a different leadership profile.

“Peter Kjaer Jensen has a strong leadership profile to manage the continuing adjustment process, build up the company’s logistics operations and quickly get the company back to an acceptable profitability.”

Kjaer Jensen takes over at PostNord Denmark with immediate effect, and will also remain in his current role. A new head of the business area for PostNord’s logistics operations will be recruited shortly.
Henning Christensen is leaving the Group at the end of June.

Kjaer Jensen has been Head ofPostNord Logistics since March 2014. Prior to join PostNord, he spent more than 20 years with Maersk, working across a wide range of business units and geographies.
