Royal Mail boosts Special Delivery Guaranteed service

Royal Mail has announced that account business customers using the Special Delivery Guaranteed service can now despatch their parcels up until 19:00 on Saturday and 16:00 on Sunday for Monday delivery. The free weekend collection service is available to customers in England and Wales posting a minimum of 50 items. Consignments can be made up of Royal Mail Tracked, Royal Mail International and Special Delivery Guaranteed products.

Special Delivery Guaranteed is primarily used for urgent, time-critical and valuable items and customers can choose from one of two services: Delivery by 9am (0900) or Delivery by 1pm (1300).

Royal Mail also enhanced its premium Sameday service recently so customers can now book courier services online, on a pay-as-you-go basis, anytime day or night, without the need to set up an account.

Commenting on the new weekend collections service for account business customers, Nick Landon, Managing Director Royal Mail Parcels, said: “This latest enhancement to our service is yet another example of how Royal Mail is providing innovative service enhancements that help online retailers meet their customers’ needs.”
