Australia Post opens new Newcastle parcel centre

Australia has official opened a new parcel processing and delivery centre and business hub in Mayfield West. In a statement issued yesterday (27 July), Australia Post said that the move “signalled its long-term commitment to the Newcastle eCommerce market”.

The Newcastle Parcel Delivery Centre and Hunter Business Hub, located on Riverside Drive, replaces the services previously offered in Newcastle, Warabrook and Sandgate.

Earlier this week, Australia Post also opened a new “superstore” in Mackay.

According to Australia Post State Manager Post Office Network QLD, Anita Britcher: “The new superstore features a state-of-the-art design and an extensive range of eCommerce and trusted services, including 24/7 parcel lockers to make it even easier for customers to pick up parcels at a time that suits them.”
