Dräger digitalizes distribution processes

Lübeck-based Dräger, a manufacturer of medical and security technology, is using Axit’s AX4 as part of its drive to standardise its shipping progress and make its supply chain transparent. According to Axit, the cloud-based AX4 “allows for cross-company cooperation of plant locations in Europe and North America, connected forwarders and logistics partners all over the world. Shipment data, tracking information and freight charges are exchanged via AX4, based on a pre-defined default process.”

One of the benefits of the digitalized system, said Axit, is that Dräger can produce detailed reports which “allow the company to check delivery reliability and to access important KPIs at the push of a button”.

“Due to the high degree of automation in information and management processes, error sources in supply chain management are reduced and processes become leaner which leads to savings in transport and stock costs,” said Axit.
