Alibaba Cloud launches Global Marketplace and AliLaunch for tech partners

Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba, has unveiled its Global Marketplace and AliLaunch programme for technology partners. The new programme enables international technology partners to enter the Chinese market through Alibaba Cloud’s initiatives.

“The introduction of AliLaunch demonstrates Alibaba Cloud’s ongoing commitment of building a global cloud computing ecosystem, which connects SaaS [Software as a Service] developers and business partners from different countries on a unified platform,” said Sicheng YU, Vice President of Alibaba Group and General Manager of Alibaba Cloud Global.

“The AliLaunch programme and Global Technology Partners Marketplace serve as the perfect platforms for making different software products accessible to businesses and organizations in China. We are aiming to build AliLaunch as the TMall of the cloud computing industry, with more technology partners added in the future.”

The AliLaunch programme effectively serves as an online “store” where enterprises in China will have access to different technology partners and can deploy software or services through Alibaba Cloud. AliLaunch currently lists 11 technology partners from United States, Europe, Japan and Thailand, including SAP, SUSE and HERE.
