Romanian postal strike ends

A postal workers’ strike in Romania has reportedly been resolved after Posta Romana agreed to offer a salary increase. According to a report on the Romanian-Insider website, around 15,000 postal workers started an unannounced strike on Thursday (27 October) – but they have agreed to accept a package which includes a salary increase and an increase in the value of their meal vouchers.

The new remuneration package is set to come into effect from 1 January.
