Target Worldwide Express collaborates with a European postal operator

Target Worldwide Express, the UK’s leading express delivery company has entered into a collaboration with the International Mail division of the national postal authority of Belgium, Belgian Post International (BPI).

BPI has selected Target as its official Extra-Territorial Office of Exchange within the UK following an extensive review of the UK express market. As an Extra Territorial Office of Exchange, Target will route international mail through BPI. Because of this international agreement with BPI, Target will be able to offer customers additional direct injection services, where mail is posted and sent directly to its destination country.

David Breeze, Director of International Services, Target, comments on this new initiative: “In the past few months, Target has focused on building a robust infrastructure for International Mail. We’ve opened a new International Mail Sortation facility at Heathrow, we’ve become the first domestic express carrier to receive DUET accreditation from Royal Mail and now we’ve entered into this ground breaking collaboration with BPI. We believe Target is now in place to offer the best possible International Mail services in the UK express market”.

Peter Somers, Managing Director, BPI comments: “We chose Target as our partner in the UK because Target is an established player in the market with a strong reputation for service excellence. Through this agreement, BPI hopes that both our customers and Target’s customers will benefit from an extended international distribution proposition. We are looking forward to a successful commercial relationship with Target as our Extra-Territorial Office of Exchange in the UK”.
