Amazon granted patent for “countermeasures” to protect drones

The US Patent Office has approved Amazon’s patent for “countermeasures” to protect drones and “unscrewed autonomous vehicles”. Amazon filed the patent back in November 2014 and it was approved on 2o December 2016.

The countermeasures include IT systems designed to stop hackers from taking control of the drone, and also physical steps which will help the drones deal with attacks from would-be robbers using guns and even bows and arrows.
