WumDrop launches Deliver2Me
South African startup WumDrop has launched a new service that delivers parcels to GPS coordinates taken from a customer’s phone, rather than a physical address. The Deliver2Me service is being launched with the support of the South African retailer The Foschini Group (TFG) and is available on the TFG eMall.
According to a notice posted on the TFG website: “As long as you have a phone with geolocation, we’ll contact you to find out where you are and deliver your parcel to you, as long as you’re within 35km of the Cape Town CBD.”
TFG added that the service is “coming soon to Jo’burg and Durban city centres”.
