Jobs to go as TDG loses major deal with Boots

Logistics giant TDG is to axe at least 50 drivers job after losing a long-established contract with Boots. The Boots contract, which is handled by 5 depots, is being transferred to an unnamed contractor from August.
Boots uses 2 other operators, Clearway Distribution and West Transport, for trunking goods from Notingham but it is unclear whether they will take over the TDG contgract, which is thought to date back nearly 40 years.
