Loganair wins new Royal Mail contract

Royal Mail has awarded a new five-year contract to Loganair to provide air freight services in Scotland. According to a report from The Press and Journal , Loganair will be providing services to and from Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.

Loganair previously operated the mail service linking Inverness with Stornoway and Benbecula.

In winning the new, larger contract, which includes Shetland and Orkney, Loganair will take on activities previously provided by BenAir.

Loganair will also reportedly have new responsibilities for linking Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Inverness.
