Fastway Couriers announces successful launch for Blu Couriers

Fastway Couriers has announced its new Blu Couriers system had a successful launch over the Christmas period. The delivery network is now up and running in Sydney and Brisbane. Over 150 people have signed up to become a Blu Courier and more than  20,000 parcels were moved by Blu Couriers over the holiday period.

Blu Couriers aims to “tap into the growing sharing economy to engage drivers, when they’re available, to provide help to Fastway Courier Franchisees as they need it”.

Fastway Couriers new CEO Peter Lipinski commented: “In my role as Fastway COO last year I was heavily involved with the development of Blu Couriers and while we had invested time and resources in optimising the model, it’s been very rewarding to hear such positive feedback from our franchisees, our Blu drivers, and our customers.

“With three in four internet users in Australia now shopping online, delivery demand is rising dramatically. The successful launch of Blu Couriers over the holiday period shows how through utilising the sharing economy we’re able to help our Courier Franchisees upscale to meet growing demand.”

Lipinski added that Fastway Couriers aims to roll out the service in more state capital cities this year.
