Connect Group to sell Education & Care division
Connect Group – which includes the delivery specialists Smiths News and Tuffnells – has announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its Education & Care division to IT services provider RM for £56.5m. RM will also assume Connect Education & Care’s pension schemes which have a combined net liability of £7.9m.
In a statement issued today (7 February), Connect Group said that the disposal is “consistent with the Group’s strategy to focus its primary investment on growth opportunities within News & Media and Parcel Freight”.
