Parcelforce building extra capacity to handle larger parcels

Royal Mail has announced that its express parcel business, Parcelforce Worldwide, is building “significant additional capacity” to handle and deliver larger parcels. The company said that it is responding to “customer feedback”, which shows that there is a significant opportunity here, because not only is there is increasing demand for a service which can handle larger parcels but also “some delivery operators [have been] reducing the maximum size they will accept into their network”.

“With confidence in e-commerce fuelling demand for larger items,” said Royal Mail, “the additional capacity means that businesses can benefit from having a one-stop solution without the need to use multiple carriers, saving time, money and improving efficiency.”
