Olivier Diehl to Head DHL France

DHL France, the express forwarding subsidiary of German postal and logistics group Deutsche Post, is to see a change of management as Pascal Tomasso steps down to be replaced by Olivier Diehl, currently head of Ducros Euro Express. The company has confirmed the change at the top, as has Mr Tomasso, who is to take over as head of Brake France, the French subsidiary of UK food transport group Brake Bros. Mr Diehl is also to be appointed as head of DHL Express, under which forwarders DHL, Danzas and Ducros are to be grouped. The change of management comes at a time when the Deutsche Post group is restructuring its logistics and parcel forwarding activities as part of a cost-saving programme. DHL is to be the universal trade mark for the group’s express and freight forwarding activities, which will result, in France, in the discontinuation of the trade name ‘Ducros’ and the restriction of the name ‘Danzas’ to overseas forwarding operations.
