Scratch card partnership
SF Express and AGTech have teamed up to create SF Lottery, which has launched an instant scratch card product in four Chinese provinces. According to a report published today (5 July) by the South China Morning Post, the scratch cards will be distributed in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hunan and Jiangxi provinces via the SF Express courier network and in SF Best retail stores.
Customers receiving a parcel via an SF courier can purchase cards directly from the courier, and they can also place bulk orders for the SF cards and have them delivered (by SF Couriers, of course) to their homes.
Hong Kong-based lottery technology supplier AGTech Holdings first announced its plans to form a joint venture with SF Express in April. AGTech is owned by Alibaba (which also owns the South China Morning Post).
SF Lottery plans to expand the availability of the SF-themed instant scratch cards to the rest of China by the fourth quarter of this year.
The new lottery product was jointly developed by SF Lottery and China’s National Sports Lottery Administration Centre, the authority for sports lottery tickets.
