New CTO for Omniva

Mart Nael will become Omniva’s Chief Technology Officer and a member of the management on 2 October. Nael has led international technology organizations in Swedbank, Telia Estonia and Bigbank. In a statement issued today (12 September), Omniva said that Nael has extensive experience in technology governance in the fields of financial services, telecommunications and IT-services. He has also been active in transport and logistics corporations, governmental institutions and in the start-up field.

“Mart’s extensive experience in managing people and technologies and leading substantial international projects, will definitely help bringing Omniva’s technology field to a whole new level. He will also be responsible for finishing up the creation of our new logistics information system,” said Ansi Arumeel, the Member of the Board.

According to Arumeel, hiring Nael is “another big step in rebuilding Ominva’s IT field. In the first half-year, Omniva primarily invested in the development of a new information system for logistics, and made preparations for the establishment of a new logistics centre. The second half-year will see the further expansion of Omnivas’ parcel locker network and the continuing development of the new logistics IT system.
