South Korea relaxes drone regulations

The South Korean authorities are introducing new drone regulations that could pave the way for night-time flying, beyond-line-of-sight deliveries and real-time broadcasting.

According to local sources, the new regulations from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport will come into effect tomorrow (Friday, 10 November).

Companies that are looking to fly drones at night or use them for deliveries will have to submit their plans to the Korea Institute of Aviation Safety Technology and be subject to vetting and inspection procedures.
