Food and drink sector fuels APC Overnight’s profit increase

APC Overnight has reported that a strong food and drink sector helped boost its pre-tax profits last year to £3m.

Revenues were up a more modest 0.8% at £103m.

In an interview published by the Daily Telegraph today (24 November), APC Overnight’s chief executive Jonathan Smith commented:“We’ve seen a real growth in niche beers from micro breweries.

“There’s more breweries in the UK than any time in the last 50 years, and lots of them have got online businesses now, which we serve.”
