Craib introduces new Enterprise

Privately owned Scottish transport company, ARR Craib, has set up a freight forwarding division – Enterprise Freight. (10/29/2003)

The division was launched in response to customer demand for a wider range of logistics services, including deepsea and TIR movements

Based at renovated premises in Cumbernauld, Enterprise Freight is headed by former DFDS executives John Dickie and John Morrison.

The opening of an office in the port of Rosyth is planned for next month, aimed at increasing Craib’s full-load and groupage traffic on the Superfast service to Zeebrugge.

“The £1 million-plus investment made at Cumbernauld and the opening at Rosyth are key to our long-term strategy of consolidating our position as a national operator,” said MD Edward Anderson. “If present volumes are maintained, we expect further expansion in the first half of next year in areas of core activity in England.”
