Delivery robot company Marble closes $10m funding round

San Francisco-based delivery robot maker Marble has closed a $10m Series A funding round, with backers including Tencent, Lemnos, CrunchFund, and Maven.

According to reports, this last round takes the company’s overall funding so far to $15m.

Marble’s press coverage to date has mainly focused on its activities in the food delivery niche, through its association with players like yelp and Doordash, but the company appears to have widened its horizons and promotes its “intelligent courier robots” as having a broader range of applications.

In an article published by TechCrunch today (24 April), Marble CEO Matthew Delaney was quoted as saying: “It’s a lot more than just food delivery. It’s about rearchitecting the urban supply chain of the future, to open up these services that everyone can afford.”
