PRC issues analysis of USPS results and plans

The Postal Regulatory Commission (PRC) has issued its analysis of the United States Postal Service (USPS) fiscal year (FY) 2017 Annual Performance Report and FY 2018 Performance Plan.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (26 April), the PRC said that its review had found that “for the first time, the Postal Service’s FY 2018 Plan complies with legal requirements, and the FY 2017 Report meets most of the requirements”.

Summarising its key findings, the PRC said that USPS partially met the “High-Quality Service” and “Excellent Customer Experiences” performance goals in FY 2017. However, it also found that USPS did not meet the “Financial Health” and the “Safe Workplace and Engaged Workforce” performance goals.

The full report, including a complete list of Commission findings and recommendations for each goal, is available on the Commission’s website at www.prc.gov.
