Delbox launches private parcel locker

The Delbox locker

UK-based Delbox has announced the launch of its “private parcel lockers”.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (16 May), Delbox (short for delivery box) said that its parcel lockers, which are made from galvanized and stainless steel and normally attached to a house wall, retail for under £100 including VAT and delivery.

A Delbox spokesperson said: “Many undeliverable items are just too large to fit through a letterbox aperture, but our Safe Space can accept items up to the volume of about six large packaged books, whilst our Locker model could fit something like a soft packaged sleeping bag or several large clothing packages. The postal officer or courier opens the lid or door, deposits the item/s, then pushes either a lock button or handle to secure until you retrieve your purchase using your key.”
