DX and GMB reach settlement over “workers’ rights” legal case

UK delivery company DX Group and the GMB union have reached a settlement regarding an employment tribunal claim brought by six GMB members.

In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (27 June), GMB said that “before the case reached the employment tribunal GMB and DX reached a ‘satisfactory settlement’”.

As previously reported, GMB has won “workers’ rights” cases against Uber, Addison Lee and – most recently – the delivery company Hermes.

Mick Rix, GMB National Officer, commented: “GMB and DX are pleased to confirm that a satisfactory settlement has been agreed regarding an employment tribunal claim brought by six GMB members.

“In addition, DX and GMB will be entering into meaningful discussions over the course of the next six months to discuss future working practices for couriers at DX.”
