Fedex to expand services to 100 more chinese cities

The U.S.-based express delivery company Federal Express (FedEx) will expand its services to 100 more Chinese cities over the next five years.
Eddy Chan, vice president of China & Mid Pacific Region of FedEx, made the announcement at an international forum for mayors held recently in north China’s Tianjin Municipality.
The business of FedEx in China has been snowballing since it made its debut in the country in 1984. It now can provide services to 190 Chinese cities, with its 11 flights shuttling between China and the outside world each week.

SSI shifts base to Hythe

Kent based Sanderson & Hayward International (SSI) has moved to new and larger premises at Lympne Industrial park in Hythe. The new sites close proximity to the Channel Tunnel means that the company can now offer importers from continental Europe a guaranteed next-day delivery of consignments of one to four pallets, and a 48 hour service through its membership of Palletline.

Royal Mail Flying to Germany

Royal Mail has launched a new charter air
service dedicated to transporting its mail to Germany. The Stansted to Hahn
flight will be operated by Channel Express using a Boeing 737-300, the
carrier said in a statement. Scheduled passenger flights are normally used
to carry the postal operator’s international mail.
