Payshop is receiving donations within its network agents to save the homeless Christmas party, organised by the Peace and Life Community. Payshop decided to get involved in this social solidarity cause to help to improve the homeless Christmas, by making its 3200 agents’ network available free of charge. We all can contribute as of one euro, and the amount received will be handed by Payshop to the Life and Peace Community to purchase food and clothes, to give the homeless in their Christmas party.

Read MoreAll Nippon Airways plans to challenge DHL and Federal Express in Asia by joining forces with two Japanese transport groups to launch a door-to-door express parcel service.
The airline will take a 34 per cent stake in the venture, targeting business-to-business customers, according to a memorandum of understanding signed yesterday.
Nippon Express, the general transport company, and Kintetsu World Express will each take a 28 per cent share while other forwarding groups will take the remaining 10 per cent.
The venture is to begin operating next April. The name and total investment have not been decided.
The business will use a freight hub developed by ANA on Okinawa, close to mainland China. ANA will provide aircraft, while Nippon Express and Kintetsu will contribute ground-based logistics.
European and US delivery groups dominate the Asian express parcel market and are adding infrastructure. Germany’s DHL, which leads with about a one-third share, said last month it would build a USD 175m north-east Asian hub in Shanghai.
Second-ranked Federal Express opened a Chinese domestic hub this year and plans to shift its Asia-Pacific centre from Subic Bay in the Philippines to a larger facility in Guangzhou in 2009.
Satoru Aoyama, analyst at Fitch Ratings, said a challenge for the ANA venture would be to draw custom from outside the three partners’ roster of Japanese clients.
“To challenge the big companies they will need to invest heavily,” he said
A committee of European Union lawmakers on last Tuesday 18th December approved EU plans to open the bloc’s 88 billion euro (USD130 billion) postal markets to full competition, setting the stage for final approval next month.
The European Parliament’s transport committee voted 37 to 2, with six abstentions, in favour of market liberalisation.
EU member states have approved the proposal and it will be debated before the full parliament on Jan. 30, with a vote set for Jan. 31. If it passes unchanged, as expected, the directive will become law.
The market for letters weighing up to 50 grams is currently shielded from competition. Mail above that weight is fully liberalised. The new measure would liberalise all mail delivery.
The new directive takes effect in 13 countries in 2011. The 12 new member states, along with Luxembourg and Greece, have until 2013.
During the hearing on Tuesday, the communist-led GUE/NGL bloc and Green Party members had sought to adopt amendments, including scrapping the measure. They were outvoted on 35 amendments and withdrew another 37.
The measure has sparked protests by postal workers in many EU nations, especially France, who fear job losses.
DHL Express Korea officially opened its service centre in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, allowing it to strengthen the logistics network in the region.
The Suwon Service Centre in Youngtong-gu, Woncheon-dong, is part of the company’s plans to improve its domestic network infrastructure to provide more efficient services.
DHL Express Korea has been steadily investing in the local market for the past few years, opening ten new and renovated service centers in the past two years. The centres are part of DHL’s strategy to strengthen its leading position in Korea’s express and logistics market.
Alan Cassels, country manager of DHL Express Korea, said the new DHL service center in Suwon allowed the company to further strengthen service capacity, particularly in support of major exporters, providing better and faster services to customers with even greater efficiency.
