The company received the SILVER award at a special ceremony held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, Birmingham recently. The award recognises the company’s achievement in raising health and safety standards, and improving performance across its vast 134-depot nationwide network.

Chief executive Peter Bakker hailed the performance of the mail and express businesses but said: ‘Logistics continues to produce disappointing results but I am confident that major improvements will be made in the future.’
