Baynes & Son moves to PalletFORCE

Bangor transport company Baynes and Son has switched its palletised distribution network to PalletFORCE, in a move that complements the network’s ongoing consolidation programme.

Previously with UPN, Baynes and Son’s decision to join PalletFORCE has been made to ensure that the company can continue to meet the distribution needs of existing and potential customers.

“We had a good relationship with UPN but felt that PalletFORCE offered bigger and better opportunities for the future,” comments Managing Director Mike Baynes. “PalletFORCE’s unique shareholder ownership structure particularly impressed us, as we feel more secure knowing we have input into the running of the Network.”

Baynes and Son has been recruited as a Shareholder Member Depot for parts of the LL postcode. It will share responsibility for the area with existing PalletFORCE member Edwin C Farrall (Transport) Ltd, as part of the Network’s programme of postcode consolidation.
