China Post launches overnight express mail service

China Post announces that it will formally launch overnight Express Mail Service (EMS) to make mails arrive on the following day among 27 provinces and 136 medium and big cities of China.

Overnight ENS means that the postal planes shuttle between the distributing center-Shanghai City-and seven important points-Beijing City, Guangzhou City, Shenzhen City, Xiamen City, Shenyang City and Wifang City of China and Osaka of Japan- to collect and deliver mails efficiently.

UPS board sets quarterly dividend

The Board of Directors of UPS have declared a regular quarterly dividend of 28-cents per share on all outstanding Class A and Class B shares.

The dividend is payable Sept. 8, 2004, to shareholders of record on Aug. 23, 2004. The board acted during a regaularly scheduled meeting.

Target Express new partnership with Polish carrier

Target Express has secured a unique partnership deal with Polish carrier, Stolica. Following the accession of ten new states to EU membership, Europe’s centre of gravity is moving Eastward and Target is responding by extending its network of partnerships, with plans to introduce similar services in other countries such as the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary. As a result of this deal, Target customers who import or export consignments via Poland can now benefit from the same ‘silver service’ they already experience across the existing network.
