DHL Worldwide Express will launch the Express pallet service that is cheaper than the current one. The new service will use pallets for moving parcels, thus making the transport and delivery of goods easier. A parcel can have a total weight of 150 kilos instead of the current 50 kilos, which can help save on money and time for businesses. The service targets textile, garment and footwear producers in Vietnam.

FedEx fourth quarter earnings exceed guidance

FedEx Corporation has announced that it expects to report earnings of USD1.36 per diluted share for the fourth quarter ended May 31 including business realignment costs and a USD0.04 per diluted share benefit from a non-recurring reduction in the effective income tax rate. This compares to USD0.92 per diluted share a year ago. Results before business realignment costs were USD1.37 per diluted share, which compares with earlier guidance of USD1.20 to USD1.30 per diluted share.

XPS, Emirates Post tie up for parcel delivery

This is the first-ever such venture for inbound parcel service in India.

XPS will be the delivery partner for the Emirates Post’s `Bharat Parcel Guaranteed’ service.

The Xpress Cargo Division (XPS) of the Travel Corporation of India has tied up with the Emirates Post of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for delivery of its parcels in India.

FedEx gets U.S. Postal Service international delivery pact

FedEx Express unit received a contract to handle guaranteed international deliveries for the U.S. Postal Service, a deal that was previously held by DHL Worldwide Express.

Financial terms weren’t disclosed when the contract was announced Tuesday.

“We evaluated a number of international delivery providers and the review showed that FedEx offers the best combination of price, service, brand recognition and cost/network efficiencies,” said Postal Service chief marketing officer Anita Bizzotto.
