ANC Express Leicester wins ROSPA award

ANC Express Leicester has won one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards. The Bronze award will be presented at a special ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, on Thursday 11th May during Safety and Health Expo 2006, the UK’s premier health and safety at work exhibition. The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2006 are sponsored by NEBOSH (The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health).

David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager said “ANC Express has demonstrated how seriously they take health and safety management and are a fine example to many other companies. We would like to see more organizations following their lead by providing a positive example”. Julie Fenwick a Director of ANC Express Leicester said, “We are thrilled to win this award, and it is recognition of all the hard work put in by all the team at the distribution centre and shows how seriously we take Health and Safety issues.”

The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases off ill-health at work; they are also about ensuring that organizations have good health and safety management systems in place. They help to reinforce the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrate an organisations commitment to the achievement of high levels of performance in the crucial area.

The President of RoSPA, Baroness Anne Gibson of Market Rasen, Deputy President Lord Jordan of Bournville and Vice-President Lord Brougham & Vaux hosted gala dinners on May 10th and 11th for the representatives of award-winning organizations with the popular television personality Ronnie Corbett as guest speaker.

ANC Express accelerates growth

After a period of continual growth ANC has recently invested in a new GBP 400,000 depot in Kendal. The new depot represents the long term commitment of award winning* ANC to maintain high standards of delivery and collection in the area. Not only will the new depot create local jobs, but it will also enable ANC to considerably expand its services in the area.

New employees include Depot General Manager Kerry Doree, who brings a wealth of experience to the role having worked in the industry for over 18 years. Kerry explained “the new depot is perfectly positioned to serve the area with the nearest ANC depot being Carlisle. ANC offer the best service levels in the industry, this new depot will help us boost sales and assist our customers to be more competitive. DHL Express Spain gains quality and environmental certification

DHL Express Spain said it has been awarded ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification from AENOR for its integrated Quality and Environmental Management System. Certification covers all of the services DHL Express offers its customers in 79 operations centres Spain-wide.

Following the auditing process performed by AENOR on DHL Express in Spain in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, the company has been certified for ISO 9001 Quality Management (renewed annually since 1994) and ISO 14001 Environmental Management, obtained for the first time in 2006.

The total amount of USEP “Ukrposhta”s net income for 2005 was 2,068.1 million UAH (321.80 million EUR), exceeding the previous year’ income by 21.8%.

Netwerk VSP starts next-week delivery of addressed mail

Starting 1 January 2007, TNT will launch a next-week mail delivery service through its subsidiary Netwerk VSP. With this service, intended for delivery within the Netherlands of large volumes of pre-sorted, addressed mail on the basis of next-week delivery, TNT is responding to customer demand for non-time-critical delivery of large volumes of addressed mail at a very competitive price.

Starting a next-week delivery service is an integral part of the company’s strategy for the postal market to achieve greater cost flexibility and offer wider scope for price differentiation, while maintaining margin levels.

Group Managing Director of TNT’s Mail division, Harry Koorstra, says, “Customers are increasingly demanding more flexibility in the price and delivery time for large volumes of addressed mail, like leaflets, brochures and catalogues. We are responding to this market development with a dedicated next-week delivery service. We will be offering this service through our subsidiary Netwerk VSP, a company with a low cost structure and a proven track record in the delivery of large consignments of mail.”

Netwerk VSP Addressed is a new service of Netwerk VSP, a subsidiary of TPG Post. Netwerk VSP is a large distributor of unaddressed mail throughout the Netherlands and has about 22,000 deliverers.
