Masterlink Express received the prestigious Europroduct 2006 award in the Service category for The Monitored Tender Delivery service.

This years edition of the Europroduct competition has just finished. The competition grants distinctions to companies, which offer their services to big, medium and small sized firms and to individual contractors. These services should ensure complex customer service in all activities, as well as fulfill the European and global markets expectations.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that Masterlink Express was awarded the Europroduct 2006 title in the Service category for the bespoke Monitored Tender Delivery service. The idea of the Monitored Tender Delivery service is to cover the demand of Masterlinks regular customers for prompt delivery of business materials, especially tender offers.

This service is available only for regular Masterlink clients, who have signed agreements with the company. The service is realized in compliance with a specially created procedure. The customer, when ordering this service, is certain that Masterlink will preferentially treat his/her parcel, which during the whole process of shipment is monitored and is additionally distinct from other parcels by a differently marked envelope. The importance of such a parcel is also underlined by the instant communication within the company, which means providing the customer with information about the successful delivery maximum 2 hours after the service realization.

Ceska posta takes mail high-tech

GLS, the European parcel subsidiary of Britain’s Royal Mail, is stepping up competitive pressure on Austrian Post through co-operation with the fuel station chain OMV, the Wiener Zeitung reported.

GLS is to open parcel shops in 180 OMV fuelling stations, country manager Klaus Schädle said. Together with parcel shops in other establishments, GLS will then have a total of 450 collection and drop-off points in Austria. This means that every third post office is now in direct competition with a GLS outlet. The parcels company said that half of its parcel shops are in communities where the post office has been closed down.
