FEDMA has stepped up its demands for the European Commission to set a date for the liberalisation of EU postal services.

According to the British publication, Marketing, “the
Federation of European Direct Marketing (FEDMA) has stepped up its demands
for the European Commission to set a date for the liberalisation of EU
postal services. The industry body has signed up to The Platform For Postal
Reform, which lobbies for full liberalisation and includes representatives
of postal operators, business users, customers and national interest
organisations.”

Swiss investors unite to rescue airline

The Swiss government, several Swiss billionaires and 15 of the country’s biggest companies on Monday threw their weight behind a plan to try to rebuild a Swiss national airline out of the remnants of Swissair. BT shows interest in running Post Office vans

British Telecommunications has expressed an interest in running a fleet of 40,000 vehicles owned by the Post Office in a marked reversal of its recent disposal strategy.
Consignia, the renamed group which runs the Royal Mail, has asked for tenders from companies interested in managing the Post Office fleet, which is one of the largest in the country.
