Hi-Media signs a 3-year advertising network contract with laposte.net

Following a request for proposals, Hi-Media renewed its association with La Poste group with the signature of a 3-year advertising network contract to market advertising space on the laposte.net portal, which attracts 1.9 million unique users and 251 million pages viewed per month (Source: Nielsen/NetRatings, Home and Work panel, May 2007).

The level of ambition and resources La Poste has dedicated to expanding its service offerings on its website have made it one of the leading portals on the French market.

The deal further reinforces Hi-Media’s leadership and the reach of its audience network over the medium term, enabling the company to make the most of vigorous growth and market consolidation in the Internet advertising market.

Market figures for May confirmed Hi-Media’s leadership position as the no. 1 independent interactive advertising network in France, with 69% coverage of French web surfers (Source: Nielsen/NetRatings, Home and Work panel, April 2007) and no. 3 in terms of number of advertisers and sales (Source: TNS Media Intelligence, aggregate raw data for January to May 2007).

Hi-Media’s Q2 2007 sales figures will be published on July 24, 2007, after market close.

La Poste and 7 syndicate organizations sign employee housing policy agreement

La Poste and 7 syndical organizations (CFDT, CFTC, CGC, CGT, FO, SUD* and UNSA signed an agreement for improving the employee housing policy.
The agreement was signed last 21st June as part of the project “Success together”.

Housing is one of the principal topics of French people and with this agreement; la Poste will implement financial aids and the number of social housing for the postal workers. The project is also part of the company’s plan of modernization.

With “Success Together”, la Poste wants to increase the rates of employee retention, fidelity and career management.

DHL launches New York overnight express to Europe

DHL, introduced the service for urgent next day documents from New York City to major European destinations.

Available for customers with shipments originating from lower Manhattan, DHL’s next day delivery trip begins with the pickup of urgent material by courier for transfer to the DHL helicopter pad in New York City. Shipments are then flown by helicopter directly to John F. Kennedy (JFK) airport, avoiding New York City traffic. From there, they move on flights bound for nine cities in Europe.

Available Monday thru Thursday, the new offering gives customers the ability to get their shipments delivered next business day from New York City to Amsterdam, Holland; Brussels, Belgium; Dublin, Ireland; Frankfurt, Germany; Geneva, Switzerland; London, England; Madrid, Spain; Paris, France; and Zurich, Switzerland. Next day by 12:00 noon delivery is available to some of the main financial centers in Europe.

For more than two decades, DHL has been leveraging its Manhattan helicopter to serve the financial district, and is the only express shipper to provide continual same day and overnight delivery of cash letters from Europe and Asia to the US banking system — a service vital to the world’s leading financial institutions. By cutting as much as a day off the time in transit for these shipments, financial institutions and their customers can save millions of dollars each year in otherwise lost interest and delayed business transactions.

New GLS online portal

GLS, the European parcels group, has unveiled a new online portal combining the products and services of several national subsidiaries: www.gls-group.eu

GLS France announced that it was one of the first subsidiaries whose website has been restructured into part of the European portal. Other countries partly or completed incorporated into the new website include Austria, Denmark, Germany, Ireland and Spain.

The new website offered a transparent overview of the GLS products and services, and new functionalities, the company said. A new “Your GLS” protected section offered customers services such as tracking and tracing, proof of delivery and activity reports.

From September, customers will be able to manage their GLS shipments online, GLS France added.

2007 The first Euromed Postal Convention

Euromed Postal will gather postal-sector players from countries across the European Union and around the southern and eastern Mediterranean rim.Its top priorities will include:

• improving postal-service operation and efficiency to support development and promote economic integration across the Euro-Med area,

• promoting the key role that postal services as a whole play in their countries,

• encouraging cooperation.

Euromed Postal will mark the launching of a platform for exchanging points of views in order to build a network of efficient operators.

The convention will be held on 9-10 July 2007 in Marseilles
