Birmingham-based Contact Transport Ltd, has become the latest UK haulier to join Pall-Ex, the UK’s leading palletised distribution network. With over 25 years transport and logistics experience, an annual turnover in excess of £4million, 60 vehicles and 75 employees, Contact Transport will be serving part of the Birmingham (B) postcodes. Contact Transport prides itself on providing a ‘one stop shop’ of freight services, from motorcycle couriers to 17 tonne artics, also warehousing and contract hire, both within in the UK and internationally. The company specialises in transport for the computer industry and has blue-chip companies such as Compaq, IBM, Hewlett-Packard as customers. Other major customers include TNT, Danzas and Emery Worldwide.

Pall-Ex launches in Germany

Pall-Ex has taken the next step in expanding its services across Europe by launching Pall-Ex Germany with German logistics company Transco Süd.
Its hub will be in Düsseldorf, from where it will cover the whole of Germany using either Transco’s direct connections or the CTL network, of which Transco is a member.

Initially, there will be three departures a week from PallEx’s Leicestershire-based hub.

The UK pallet network operator has already launched PallEx Scandinavia and Pall-Ex Iberia and is close to contracting partners in Benelux, France and Italy.

West-Midlands-based JTA Pallet Distribution has joined Pall-Ex to cover the region’s DY and WV postcodes.

JTA Pallet Distribution Ltd joins Pall-Ex

West Midlands based JTA Pallet Distribution Ltd has recently joined Pall-Ex, the UK’s largest overnight palletised distribution network, and will operate in the DY and WV postcodes. Formed over 20 years ago and with in excess of 20 vehicles, JTA regularly travels to all the business and industrial centres of the UK, Europe and the Eastern Bloc.

Pall-Ex launches Germany service

Pall-Ex, the UK’s leading palletised distribution network, has teamed up with German logistics company, Transco Süd, to launch Pall-Ex Germany as part of its continued expansion of services across Europe. Launched last week, the service covers the whole of Germany and will initially include with at least three departures a week from the UK. Transco will bring in pallets to Pall-Ex’s Leicestershire-based hub for onward distribution in the UK via the Pall-Ex network and will collect shipments from Pall-Ex, take them to its hub in Düsseldorf, the main centre for Pall-Ex Germany. Goods are then distributed throughout Germany either by Transco’s direct connections or via the CTL network, of which Transco is a member.
