Interbrew UK outsources to Exel

Interbrew UK has outsourced its distribution network to Exels Tradeteam business in a contract lasting until at least 2010. The contract is expected to have a turnover of around £500 million; as part of the deal 1,500 Interbrew employees will transfer to Tradeteam.

Edinburgh based Pollock to join Pall-Ex

Edinburgh-based pollock (Scotrans) is the latest company to join the Pall-Ex palletised freight network. The family-owned transport and storage company, which has a fleet of 100 vehicles, specialises in full and part load distribution. It operates out of two Scottish depots and has a subsidiary company in London. Commenting on the decision to join the Pall-Ex network, Mark Jackson sales and development manager for Pollock (Scotrans) says: We have always been struck by te professionalism of the Pall-Ex hub team and the commitment shown to the network by each of the members.
