Spanish Seur To Build 7.0 Mln Euro Office Centre in Seville
Spanish express mail courier Seur SA will build a 7.0 mln euro ($8.9 mln) office centre in Seville, Andalusia region, southern Spain, the company said on October 27, 2004.

Read MoreThe state-owned mail company Latvijas Pasts (Latvian Mail) has successfully started negotiations with Spanish mail company Correos y telegrafos about distribution of goods in the Baltic Sea region. Latvijas Pasts director general Gints Skodovs told BNS that his company wanted to develop its services by taking up also logistics. It has been agreed with the Spanish company that they could send to Latvia goods which Latvijas Pasts would then distributed in the Baltic states, Sweden, Russia and Poland. Skodovs said for now the two parties had agreed on specific “homework” that needs to be done for practical implementation of the cooperation discussed during talks in Spain.

The increase was mainly due to the 23 pct year-on-year rise in international shipments between January and June 2004 after the alliance with French parcels company Geopost, a unit of French state-owned postal service Le Poste. In July 2004, Geopost acquired 12.5 pct of Seur from the Spanish company’s founder Justo Yufera.
