Empost to deliver entry permits and residency documents through its Jawaz service- in Al-Ain

The move is expected to enhance and accelerate vital transactions between the Department and local residents and visitors.

Empost will deliver the confidential entry permit documents to residents of Al Ain,. The entry permits comprise all types of visas which are issued by the Department of Naturalization and Residency to any foreigners wishing to work in or visit the UAE.

Commenting on the agreement, Sultan Al Midfa, CEO, Empost said, ‘The rapid increase of people visiting the UAE has created the need for a reputed services provider, such as Empost, to assist in delivering the large number of visa’s which are being processed. This agreement will enhance the process involved in obtaining entry permits, as the quick and reliable delivery will eliminate the time and effort it takes to stand in document collection queues. This initiative came as a request from the Department of Naturalization and Residency to enhance their services.’

Empost launches new bulk shipment service in the middle of this month

As part of its ongoing expansion programme, Empost, the UAE’s national courier company, has announced the introduction of a new “Bulk Shipment Service” starting January 15, 2007. Empost is following its strategy in introducing new services to adapt with the fast moving world; the service will allow customers to deliver bulk shipments all over the UAE at the cost of AED 7 up to five kg package.

Emirates joins DHL air cargo security partnership

Emirates Group and DHL Global Forwarding, have signed a memorandum of understanding in air cargo security. Emirates Airline is one of the first airline partners to join this security programme, initiated by DHL Global Forwarding.
The aim of the partnership programme is to initiate standard operating procedures for high-value and high-risk air cargo. Emirates and DHL will share best practices and information on crime trends and jointly lobby towards authorities.

“The Emirates Group has always been committed to strengthening security throughout the handling chain. This programme embodies the symbiotic relationship between major players and stakeholders in the cargo industry,” commented Dr Abdulla Al Hashimi, divisional senior vice-president Emirates Group Security.

Robert Larson, senior vice-president and head of global security DHL Logistics added: “We are glad to welcome Emirates Group Security in our security partnership programme. Now we can combine our expertise and can contribute more efficiently to making the global supply chain more secure.”

Empost is following its strategy in introducing new services to adapt with the fast moving world; the service will allow customers to deliver bulk shipments all over the UAE.

As part of its ongoing expansion programme, Empost, the UAE’s national courier company, has announced the introduction of a new ‘Bulk Shipment Service’ starting January 15, 2007.

Empost has embarked on a comprehensive expansion plan, increasing its fleet of service vehicles to 425, widening its network to 225 destinations and ensuring the delivery of documents and parcels within 72 hours. Empost now boasts of a host of services that include personal collection and delivery of business or personal mail, Mandoub Service, Tawseel, Ameel, Health Pack, Jawaz, EziPack, LiteDox, EziMail, Empost Express and Empost Stores which sell a range of courier, postal and stationery products.

Empost was established in May 1997 to fill a gap in express courier services in the UAE. Over time, Empost has evolved into a diverse service organisation with an effective international distribution network and infrastructure. It has a domestic fleet of over 475 vehicles and specialised staff offering personalised professional services.

Some of many Empost products include Ezimail post office box clearance service; Mandoub comprehensive government PRO services; Empost Stores all over the UAE that provide access to Empost Courier services as well as postal and stationery products; and Empost Direct which is a range of specially-tailored direct mail marketing services.

Emirates Group Security joins DHL strategic air cargo partnership

As one of DHL’s preferred air carriers, Emirates Airline is one of the first airline partners to join this programme.

The aim of this security partnership programme is to work together and to agree on standard operating procedures (SOP) for high-value and high-risk air cargo, to share best practices and information on crime trends and to partner in lobbying towards authorities.

Emirates Group Security and DHL Global Forwarding have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Strategic Air Cargo Security Partnership, a DHL Global Forwarding initiative.

Commenting on the new partnership programme, Dr. Abdulla Al Hashimi, Divisional Senior Vice President Emirates Group Security said: ‘The Emirates Group has always been committed to strengthening security throughout the handling chain. Incidentally, it was Emirates and DHL that were among the first in the UAE and Middle East that attained the TAPA (Technology Asset Protection Association) certification.
