Though mailers still expect postal reform bills to be introduced shortly, many are growing less confident that legislation will be passed before the end of the year because of the fall elections.
House Government Reform Committee chairman Tom Davis, R-VA, will introduce a postal reform bill by the end of the month with Rep. John McHugh, R-NY, who chairs the House committee’s postal panel, a McHugh spokeswoman said.
The Mailing Industry CEO Council is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to unifying the USD900 billion mailing industry and promoting the critical role that mail plays in business and commerce.
“These executives bring a wide range of skills and business perspectives to this unique cross-section of industry leaders representing companies that have a major stake in the future of the mail channel,” said Council Chairman and Pitney Bowes Chairman and CEO Michael J. Critelli.
