Within the scope of an alliance between French La Poste and Fedex Express the US mail services company will carry postal consignments of the German La Poste parcel subsidiary Deutsche Paketdienst (DPD) on international and intercontinental flights. The Fedex/DPD cooperation concerns deliveries of DPD’s new express service, which is to be offered as of 1 July 2002.

During a year’s time, FedEx will deliver more than 500,000 cubic feet of parts. By flying from FedEx’s U.S. hubs directly into GSP, the parts will arrive about 12 hours earlier and will be available for the start of the factory’s early morning shift.
