UPS reaches 5-year labor deal with airline workers

United Parcel Service Inc said on Tuesday it had reached a five-year contract deal with unionized mechanics and other workers at its in-house airline. The tentative contract calls for ‘industry-leading wages’, runs to Nov. 1, 2006, and is retroactive to August.
