Emirates SkyCargo Priority

Middle East-based carrier Emirates SkyCargo offers two premium service options under the
Emirates Express label launched in 1999. The first is Emirates Priority Plus which caters for time-sensitive and urgent consignments of up to 100 kilos. Cargo space for shipments using that service can be booked as late as six hours prior to flight departure. The service also offers late acceptance and the carrier’s highest loading priority. The carriers second express service is Emirates Priority.

NETdelivery lures $22.8M for U.S. expansion

A Colorado company that’s helping Canada and Sweden perfect the world’s first virtual postal services has secured $22.8 million in new funding to help sell its technology in the U.S. NETdelivery Corp. of Boulder, Colo., has finally closed the Series C round after almost a year of negotiations. The company, which has raised about $40 million since 1995, closed the first part of the round in November but kept it open until recently in response to investor interest.

Royal Mail may hire rivals

ROYAL MAIL is planning to use potential rival operators for deliveries
that are hit by strike action. Rival operators are likely to include Hays, the logistics and
delivery company which already has a provisional licence to operate, and
groups such as DHL and Securicor.
