Portuguese to begin Mozambique project

CTT-Correios de Portugal is due to start operating in Mozambique this year, chairman Estanislau Costa said. Costa said that “adaptation work for the shops we are going to open in Mozambique,” was underway as well as “choosing the teams that will prepare the information systems for the company’s launch.” the company was officially set up in November of last year.

“We signed the contract in November for the Correio de Mozambique company, which is 50% owned by us and 50% by the Mozambican national postal company,” said Costa.
CTT plans to invest EUR 2m in its internationalisation of the two Portuguese-speaking countries.
