Brazil Post’s president sacked

Thursday, July 29th, 2010

Brazil Post’s president Carlos Henrique Custodio has been fired.

According to a government news statement, Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made the decision on Wednesday (July 28).

The announcement said that Custodio had been “relieved of office, effective immediately.” The decision followed a meeting with communications minister Davi Jose de Mattos.

Although the statement gave no reason for the dismissal, Brazilian media are reporting that the government was dissatisfied with the company’s performance.
