Bulgaria Post Seeking Foreign Investor

Bulgaria plans to offer a 15 year concession over state owned postal services to a foreign investor, Transport and Communication Minister Plamen Petrov said on Wednesday. ‘We are planning to grant a 15 year concession to an investor who would modernise ordinary post service and develop additional services,’ Petrov told a news conference. He said Canadian and Netherlands postal services had shown interest. Canadian postal officials visited Sofia this week and were now making a study and preparing to make an offer, said Petrov. He gave no information on Bulgarian Post’s financial results.
